Foster parenting is deeply meaningful—and emotionally demanding. Without healthy boundaries, even the most dedicated caregivers can experience burnout, compassion fatigue, and become overwhelmed. This trauma-informed workshop helps resource parents understand how different types of boundaries—mental, emotional, physical, financial, time, conversational, internal, and sexual—play a vital role in protecting both caregiver well-being and placement stability.
Grounded in trauma-informed principles of safety, predictability, and regulation, participants will learn to recognize when boundaries are stretched too thin, communicate limits with clarity and compassion, and manage guilt or pressure that can arise when saying “no.” Through practical tools and guided reflection, this class supports foster parents in creating sustainable caregiving practices that honor their own well-being while continuing to provide safe, nurturing care.
Caring for others begins with caring for yourself. Join us to strengthen your resilience and build boundaries that support long-term success in foster parenting.
