This workshop explores the evolving roles and responsibilities of relative caregivers raising children within their families. Participants will gain insight into how family dynamics shift when relatives step into primary caregiving roles, often unexpectedly. The class addresses common challenges such as navigating boundaries, managing relationships with birth parents, and balancing discipline with emotional connection. Caregivers will also learn practical strategies for communication, self-care, and accessing community resources. Through discussion and reflection, attendees will leave better equipped to adapt to their changing roles while supporting the well-being of both themselves and the children in their care.
