This class helps resource parents understand how trauma impacts a child’s ability to form healthy attachments and trusting relationships. Participants will explore how early adversity, abuse, neglect, and separation affect brain development, emotional regulation, and behavior. The training emphasizes attachment-focused, trauma-informed caregiving strategies that promote safety, trust, and connection. Resource parents will learn practical tools to respond to challenging behaviors, strengthen relational bonds, and create consistent, nurturing environments that support healing and long-term positive connections for children and youth in their care.
