Participants will leave with practical strategies for protecting their own well-being while continuing to provide the love, connection, and stability children and youth need.

Participants will gain an understanding of why ICWA was enacted, the legal protections afforded to Tribal children and families, and the vital role caregivers play in supporting a child's connection to their extended family, Tribal Nation, cultural traditions, language, and community.
The workshop emphasizes how maintaining connections to a child's family, Tribal Nation, cultural traditions, language, and community strengthens identity, promotes healing, and supports lifelong relational and cultural permanency.
