The Adolfo Transitional Housing Program provides FREE transitional housing and supportive services to former foster youth in the age range of 18 years up to 24 years (and supports youth with children). The housing includes a fully-furnished studio apartment with a shared kitchen that is rent free for three years. This path to self-reliance includes case management, education specialist, employment/career specialists, life skills coaches, housing and credit specialist and counseling. Youth also have access to transportation (for necessary appointments, school, employment), access to a computer lab, clothing, and furniture. Typical wait times for Adolfo housing can be as long as 6 months to one year or as quick as several weeks depending on availability.
Who can get this FREE service?
Youth 18-24 years of age who were previously in foster care and now are emancipated from foster/probation care are eligible. Participants must be a California resident (from any county). Participants must have a background free of violent criminal charges for the past 3 years and must not be a registered sex offender (PC290 Registrants).

How will I furnish my new apartment?
All studio apartments with private bath are fully furnished and new household goods are provided. A kitchen is shared between two adjacent apartments.
