Cal Aggie Camp provides FREE enriching summer camp experiences, to underprivileged youth ages 6-17 in the greater Davis and Sacramento areas. The camp’s mission is to provide enriching summer camp experiences, free of charge, to nearby youth who may otherwise not be able to access similar programs. We serve mostly children in foster care, adopted families, and underprivileged communities. The camp is a residential camp that runs for one-week sessions; our campsite is located in Dobbins, CA. Campers engage in outdoor activities such as rock climbing, archery, and kayaking, as well as participate in camp-wide events such as a talent show, campfires and more! Campers stay in cabins with their counselors and fellow campers.
Cal Aggie Camp 2026 will be held on July 5-10, 2026 for children aged 6 to 12 and on July 12-17, 2026 for children aged 12-16.

Email calaggiecamp@ucdavis.edu to ask about registering a child. The camp might already be full, so be sure to ask to join the waitlist.
After filling out the application, Cal Aggie Camp will reach out to let you know if your child has been accepted to the program. Camper registration will begin in March. If accepted to camp, you will then receive an email with details on registration in CampDocs.
Reminder: All campers will need an updated physical, from within the 12 months prior to the camp dates, so schedule accordingly!
Who are the camp counselors?
All of our counselors are undergraduate students or recent graduates of UC Davis. Our counselors are passionate about serving underprivileged youth and making a difference in their community. Cal Aggie Camp counselors are selected after completion of an application process that includes written responses, group interviews, and thorough criminal background checks. Once selected, our staff are all required to complete:
- First-aid and CPR certification
- A 10-week, two-unit UC Davis internship camp staff training, including topics required by the American Camp Association
- Mandated reporter training
