AcademySTAY is transitional housing for 18 to 24-year-old foster youth pursuing education through university, community college, trade school, or apprenticeship and who need a safe place to live and gain the necessary life skills to go on to live the life they desire. AcademySTAY gives you a sense of belonging by creating meaningful relationships through regularly scheduled events and activities. Each tenant has their own mentor to provide them with a wealth of knowledge as well as a connection to the community. Our students also benefit from valuable classes which will arm them with important life skills such as financial literacy, study skills, and living in a healthy and clean environment. It provides the perfect space for these youth to take the next step toward becoming successful, independent adults.

Who can get FREE housing at AcademySTAY?
- Must be 18-24 years of age
- Aged out of foster care or will leave foster care within 90 days (youth previously in foster care and now are emancipated from foster/probation care are eligible).
Who can get Low-Cost housing at AcademySTAY?
- Must be 18-24 years of age
- Previously was in foster care (reunited, guardianship, adopted before 18 years of age)
- Must pay $700 per month and show financial proof of income
Restrictions:
- No pending arrests awaiting adjudication
- No prior eviction due to destruction of property or engaging in violence
- No current obligations that would impede full participation in the program
- Ability to manage personal needs such as bathing, laundry, and cooking

What are apartment details?
Youth are housed in brand new two bedroom apartments and each bedroom has its own lock. The bathroom, kitchen, and living room area are shared. The apartments are fully furnished and new household goods are provided.
